Lesson 3: Combustion of Hydrogen

Interactive lessons

The interactive lessons are designed as a resource for teachers to use in the classroom, over a period of one lesson, on an interactive whiteboard or individual PCs.

The lessons cover the topics of:

  • How we get hydrogen
  • Combustion of hydrogen
  • Hydrogen fuel cells

The lessons allow students to develop knowledge about hydrogen and how it can be used to help create a zero emission city. The lessons also enable students to learn about materials and their properties, renewable and non-renewable energy sources and climate change.

Each lesson also incorporates suggestions for class discussion and follow-up activities, which can be used for additional class work, home work or independent learning.

"I really enjoyed finding lots of things out using the interactive lessons to help me."
