What does the Challenge involve?
The Challenge consists of three stages:
Stage 1: Online Lessons
The Challenge website provides teachers with three
curriculum-linked interactive lessons, designed for use in classrooms via interactive
whiteboards or PCs. These lessons, along with supporting info-activities,
allow students to learn in an interactive and fun way by recreating virtual
experiments, providing an understanding of hydrogen production and the
use of hydrogen technology to help create a zero emission city.
In addition to the interactive lessons and info-activities,
students and teachers have access to supplementary info-activities and
resources from
www.bmweducation.co.uk/CleanEnergy.
Stage 2: Challenge Quiz
Having learnt about the need for cleaner energy and the role of hydrogen, students can put their knowledge to the test with the interactive Challenge Quiz. Students are encouraged to compete against their classmates or to participate in inter-class or inter-school competitions. The cross-curricular resources can also be used as extension activities at home to inspire pupils to find out more about the fascinating world of hydrogen.
